#### Dust Collection

As with all things in the woodshop saw dust collection is an important responsibility of the machine user. A 
cleaner environment results in less machine wear and better human health.

If one is going to use this machine one **MUST** connect a vacuum system to the machines dust port. In addition the rooms overhead air filters must be turned on.

For this specific machine there are two vacuum options, the larger red Bauer and the smaller portable Hercules vacuum.
The Hercules hose can be directly connected to the saws dust port.

Using the large Bauer vacuum may result in a better dust reduction due to it's increased volume. However, it does require an adapter system to make the hose connection. That adapter is the same as used for the Delta belt sander and is available in the room.

This image shows the Hercules vacuum hose connected directly to the jigsaw. This hose fits somewhat more securely than does the Delta sander adapter, 
which will work if needed
