Member Meeting Minutes Summary: March 25th

Events and Workshops

* **Increased Event Activity:** The makerspace has seen a significant increase in events and workshops this month, with five events held compared to the planned one.
* **Workshop Highlights:**
    * Linda taught "die sub."
    * Thomas taught hand tools and fixed a chisel.
    * Doug conducted vinyl cutting.
    * Chris hosted a goth night, the first social event not a potluck.

3D Printing Area and Storage

* **Rearrangement:** The 3D printing area has been rearranged.
* **Filament Storage:** Bins are now available for storing filament for a bounded period.
* **Storage Policy:**
    * Instructions with a QR code are provided.
    * The maximum storage period is six months.
    * If bins are full, the oldest spool (older than six months) can be trashed or taken home by another member.
    * Items were tagged with a start date from the last Sunday the area was organized.

Stitch Lab and General Organization

* **Stitch Lab Ownership:** There's an ongoing issue with distinguishing between makerspace-owned and member-owned items in the Stitch Lab due to a lack of labeling. This includes fabric stacks, boxes, and other items. A system for addressing this across different areas will be discussed during the leadership meeting.

Equipment Maintenance

* **Lathe Belt:** The belt for the lathes may need to be one size smaller in width to prevent fraying.
